www.gamblinghelper.com Problem gambling (ludomania) is an urge to gamble despite harmful negative consequences or a desire to stop. The term is preferred to compulsive gambling among many professionals, as few people described by the term experience true compulsions in the clinical sense of the word. Problem gambling often is defined by whether harm is experienced by the gambler or others, rather than by the gambler’s behavior. Severe problem gambling may be diagnosed as clinical pathological gambling if the gambler meets certain criteria. Although the term gambling addiction is common in the recovery movement[1] pathological gambling is considered to be an impulse control disorder and is therefore not considered by the American Psychological Association to be an addiction. http

@PlayOnDrugs you need to suck a dick less, 40% of problems is becouse people is to retarded to win money, other 40% of problems comes from emotional issues like tilt (here you can include bankroll managment) and 20% bad luck. So suck dick more and maybe you will learn something one day.

Gambling addiction is being re-defined in the DSM V and will no longer be classified as an impulse control disorder. It will now be under Behavioral addictions.

At no point in the “video” while the narrator is discussing his gambling problem does he ever mention the terms “poker”, or “WSOP.” The title of the video was obviously made to draw people to it.

alright it’s really simple … so very very simple… i’ve known a man to lose his entire family and most his possessions compulsively gambling and getting into trouble with debt to people. his losses and lack discipline were by FAR his problems. 99% of compulsive gambling is simply a lack of BR management and nothing more. i really think ego is by far the biggest problem for people like this, because they just can’t be “tainted” by outside information.

Professional gambler = understands proper bankroll management and has the discipline to stick to it.

ollidudley- maybe if you could spell, I would validate your comment with a response. You are free to be as insensitive and ignorant as you wish- but please, why don’t you find some other forum to share it in than the video of someone trying to help himself and others. You are either one of the many that is still in denial about his/her own addictions, or simply have never wittnessed how destructive and painful a gambling addiction can be.
