Rick is apprehensive about returning to work. Lesley tries to reassure him. They find Blackie, fully dressed, asleep on the couch – sporting a large bruise on the side of his face. Rick asks him what happened. Blackie retorts with a flip response and Les tries to step in to keep things calm for Rick on his first day back to work. He thinks she patronizing him and storms out. Blackie backlashes her probing with biting comments about her recent gambling activities. Rick backs out of his first surgery. Monica lets him know about it. Les talks to Monica and finds out that Rick chickened out. Her depression escalates. Lesley & Gail arrive at the casino for dinner. Blackie is still giving Lesley “The Treatment.” She loses all of her money and asks Tiffany where she can pawn a bracelet.
Poor Lesley! I totally agree with Rick? regarding Blackie here and, yeah Blackie, maybe you should find another place to live. Ugh,…the nerve of him -what attitude! And he doesn’t even clean up after himself..
This is so hard to watch! It is a different hard than 1979. This time it is Les who is responsible for her own decisions. I? know there are some life lessons in here. Sigh. I am, however, watching Mr. Rick to see how he steps up to the task! I can’t wait for him to get over himself!
